How much a yakuman is worth
Yakuman is the highest hand class in riichi mahjong. Rather than accumulating han, certain exceptional yaku are each worth a fixed payout: 32,000 points for a non-dealer ron and 48,000 for a dealer ron. Outside pao liability, that total is split among the three opponents on tsumo.
The main yakuman hands
Each yakuman is a specific shape. Some must stay concealed, including kokushi musou, suuankou and chuuren poutou. A suuankou won by ron only counts when the winning tile completes the pair; if it completes the fourth triplet, that triplet is treated as open. Other yakuman allow calls, including daisangen, shousuushii, daisuushii, tsuuiisou, ryuuiisou, chinroutou and suukantsu.
Multiple yakuman, kazoe, and WRC differences
Under Tenhou rules, multiple genuine yakuman in one hand stack, and an ordinary hand with 13 or more han becomes kazoe yakuman. WRC 2025 also stacks genuine yakuman but calls its ordinary 13-han-or-more tier yonbaiman. In both profiles, the special kokushi, suuankou, and chuuren waits remain single yakuman, and dora never increase a genuine yakuman.
