Your games and feedback help us build a better place to play riichi. The numbered Kin-Urushi set is our thank-you to the first 1,000 players.
HK-L rules with three red fives
The competition used HK-L rules with three red fives. Eight preliminary rounds preceded the semifinals and the final between Harbin, China Open, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong.
Logs and NAGA analysis remain available
The organizers keep the tournament photos, results, broadcasts, logs, and NAGA analysis online. That archive makes it possible to verify the podium and revisit selected games long after the awards.
The logs preserve the score before each hand, the winds, riichi declarations, calls, and the outcome. The NAGA pages published by the organizers add their own analysis to those games, alongside the corresponding record turn by turn.
A second edition already has dates
The Hong Kong Mahjong Association has announced a second edition from June 25 to 27, 2027, again in Hong Kong. As in 2026, the tournament occupies the final full weekend of June across three days.
