Rio Tojo wins the first hanchan on 78.8 points
Rio Tojo won the first hanchan with 58,800 points at the table, worth 78.8 after uma. Naoki Setokuma finished that game on 11.7, Kenji Katsumata on -33.3, and Sayaka Okada on -57.2.
Rio Tojo also won the second hanchan, scoring 52.8. Naoki Setokuma added 8.2 to finish on 19.9 overall. The final standings put Tojo on 131.6, ahead of Setokuma on 19.9, Okada on -71.3, and Katsumata on -80.2.

The other three finalists
Naoki Setokuma had 11.7 points after the first hanchan. His 8.2 in the second took his total to 19.9 and secured second place.
Sayaka Okada moved from -57.2 to -71.3 after scoring -14.1 in the second hanchan and finished third. Kenji Katsumata, on -33.3 and then -46.9, closed the final on -80.2.

A field extending beyond M.League
The field goes beyond the ten M.League teams. Japan’s major professional organizations also send champions and selected representatives. It gives viewers a wider look at top-level riichi, mixing familiar television players with accomplished professionals who receive less international exposure. The announced prize pool is 30 million yen.
Qualification over two hanchan
The bracket used staggered entry: some players joined in the second or third round according to their qualification. Every displayed table combined two hanchan. In the semifinals, the top two from each table advanced: Rio Tojo and Naoki Setokuma from table A, Kenji Katsumata and Sayaka Okada from table B.
