Four ARA-certified opens
Riichi Nomi Open ran on August 1 and 2 in New York. Toronto followed on August 8 and 9, Boston from August 14 to 16, then North Texas on August 22 and 23. The ARA calendar lists all four as certified tournaments.
Arthur K. wins in Toronto
The fourth Toronto Riichi Open ended on August 9. Arthur K. won the final division on 116.2 points ahead of Vincent Shao on 48.3 and Ding on 46.6. The official standings rank 85 players.

Boston followed by North Texas
The first Boston Riichi Open ran from August 14 to 16 in Cambridge. Capacity increased from 96 to 112 seats after four tables were added, and the tournament sold out. Its published format used eight cumulative hanchan with no cut.
The North Texas Riichi Open ran on August 22 and 23 in McKinney. Its published format listed 64 seats, eight hanchan, and the WRC 2025 rules without red fives.
A two-day WRL Major
The Sparrow’s Nest Major took place on August 29 and 30 in New York. World Riichi League rules set Major events at eight hanchan, compared with four for Minor events.
