hite Rose Riichi brings the British circuit to Leeds for eight hanchan on October 24 and 25. Graz Riichi Open follows in Austria on November 28 and 29. Both tournaments are approved on the European Mahjong Association calendar.
Eight hanchan at The Tetley for White Rose
Leeds Riichi Mahjong Club is hosting White Rose at The Tetley on Hunslet Road. The announced format is eight hanchan, four on Saturday and four on Sunday. The UK Mahjong Association describes it as its third MERS-rated tournament of 2026, following the spring open in Cambridge and the UK Open in Guildford.
Three opens on November's final weekend
Graz Riichi Open and Oranda Sai Kou in Alblasserdam are scheduled for November 28 and 29. Mahjong Spirit Riichi Open is listed for November 29 in Réunion. All three tournaments are approved by the EMA.

Three UK MERS dates in 2026
The 2026 British calendar opened with the Cambridge Spring Open on May 9 and 10, followed by the UK Open in Guildford on August 1 and 2. White Rose is the third event. Results from all three contribute to both the European MERS ranking and the British MUKRS ranking.
